Radcliffe may have won the hearts of millions playing J.K. Rowling’s
beloved boy wizard, but the “Harry Potter” star feels lucky to have won
the heart of girlfriend Rosie Coker off-screen.
“I hated dating, because I’m crap at it!” Daniel told Parade magazine
in an interview for Sunday’s issue. “With Rosie, I didn’t know what was
appropriate, like on which date you’re supposed to try and kiss her.”
The actor’s lack of knowledge in the romance department led to an initially awkward encounter with his ladylove.
“I
went to kiss Rosie and at the last minute lost my nerve and ended up
kissing her neck, which is a very intimate place to kiss somebody on the
second date,” he told the mag. “Fortunately, she just found it really
funny.”
Daniel, who will next be
seen on the big screen in “The Woman in Black” – a thriller slated to
hit theaters on February 3 — insists he’s “not an easy person to love,”
and shared some of his less attractive traits.
“There
are lots of times when I’m a very good boyfriend, but there are times
when I’m useless,” he said. “I mean, I’m a mess around the house. I talk
nonstop.”
Adding, “I become
obsessed with things (fantasy football, most recently). And she listens
to it, and she loves me for my oddness, my awkwardness – all of those
things that I hate about myself.”
