Daniel Radcliffe Talks Prepping For His ‘Saturday Night Live’ Debut

Daniel Radcliffe Talks Hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’
NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. -- Daniel Radcliffe will work his magic as host on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend and the 22-year-old actor says his past films (namely the eight “Harry Potter” movies) gave the sketch show’s writers a bounty of great material to poke fun at.

“They’re just delighted that I bring with me such a rich catalogue of things that can be taken the piss out of,” Daniel told Access Hollywood correspondent Jill Martin with a laugh, when asked if he’d been the subject of any “Harry Potter” hazing by the cast during a rehearsal in New York City on Thursday. “I think they’re just grateful for that.”

Daniel, who will next be seen in the horror drama “The Woman in Black,” said his beloved boy wizard character will definitely make an “SNL” appearance.

“I’ve been reading the ‘Harry Potter’ sketches and there’s some really, really funny stuff,” he said. “So, you’ll see something on Saturday night, certainly.”

As for whether viewers will hear Daniel speak with his native British charm, the actor said he’ll be exercising his American dialect skills.

“I think I’m only English – doing my normal voice — in two or three of the sketches, so yeah, they’ll be a lot of American accent,” he said.

Pricey Kate Gosselin Cruise Tickets Selling

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Kate Gosselin visits Raw Dog Comedy’s ‘The Phone Show’ at SiriusXM Studio in New York City on October 27, 2011 Caption Kate Gosselin may not have to keep up that coupon blog gig for long – tickets for a cruise with the former reality TV mom are reportedly selling just one day after they became available.

On Friday, it was announced that Kate would take to the seas in August for a Royal Caribbean cruise with fans and while many doubted whether travelers would pay to sail with the mother of eight, cabins on the Allure of the Seas ocean liner – ranging from $1,575 to $5,500 per person — are reportedly already being purchased.

“We are getting so many calls, so many e-mails,” Charlene Failla, Luxury Cruises and Tours president, told E! Online, of the interest in their new oceanic venture with Kate.

While Failla wouldn’t reveal how many cabins have been sold since the cruise’s website went live on Friday, she said the company is pleased with the somewhat surprising response.

“When we first put up our website, we were thinking we would get mostly families,” Failla said. “But then we started getting a lot of enquiries about singles. So just yesterday afternoon we put up a single rate, and we hadn’t even had that [planned].”

Guests on the cruise will reportedly enjoy a “private BBQ” with a “fabulous band” (as well as a morning brunch and Q&A session) with Kate, and the Gosselin matriarch will join trip-goers for a shore excursion.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, TLC pulled the plug on Kate’s reality show, “Kate Plus 8” back in August, prompting the 36–year-old mom to search for other means of employment.

In November, CouponCabin.com announced Kate as a new contributing blogger, writing posts which offer visitors to the web site advice on how to save money.

“No matter what your financial situation is, there’s no reason not to use coupons. It’s like free money in your pocket!” Kate said in a statement at the time. “I’m thrilled to lend my expertise to CouponCabin.com, where you can easily find the best deals on practically everything.”

Kate signed on as a weekly contributor to the website, writing “on topics like how to stretch a budget for a large family, holiday shopping tips, gift ideas and more,” CouponCabin.comexplained in a release.

Viola Davis Feels ‘Higher Sense Of Responsibility’ After ‘The Help’

2012 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards: Viola Davis Talks Receiving Accolades For Her Role In ‘The Help’ Caption

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Viola Davis rose to fan-favorite status and wowed the critics playing good-hearted, lovable maid Aibileen Clark in “The Help,” and the Golden Globe-nominated actress says the recognition for the challenging role is definitely satisfying.

“It feels pretty good!” Viola told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, when asked how it feels to receive such acting accolades. “I definitely feel like I’ve gone to a different place in my career and I feel a higher sense of responsibility for women [and] for women of color – it feels tremendous.

“I feel like I’m like, stepping into my purpose,” she added.

While she knew she had stumbled upon a very special script when she signed on for “The Help,” Viola said she wasn’t quite sure how audiences would react to the film.

“I knew it was going to be something. I didn’t know if it was going to be negative or positive, but I knew it was going to be something,” she told Shaun. “I thought it could go either way. We were making a movie about maids in 1963 who are uneducated, and it definitely could’ve gone the other way.”

As for whether she’s nervous about Ricky Gervais taking the wheel as host at the Golden Globes on Sunday (where she’s up for the coveted Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama award), Viola said she’s hoping she escapes the comedian’s wrath.

“If he says something about me, yeah, absolutely!” she told Shaun with a laugh, when asked if she’s nervous about Ricky hosting. “But otherwise, he is absolutely hysterical. He can blast other people and I will laugh with abandon!

“If he says something about me, I’m gonna get my ex-linebacker husband and I’m gonna say, ‘Ricky, hey…,’” she jokingly added.

The 69th Golden Globes will air Sunday at 8 ET/5 PT on NBC.

Larry Hagman: Cancer Won’t Keep Me From ‘Dallas’ Reboot

Access Hollywood Live: Larry Hagman Auctions Off ‘I Dream Of Jeannie’ & ‘Dallas’ Memorabilia Caption

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Larry Hagman said his recent cancer diagnosis hasn’t kept him from being a full part of the “Dallas” reboot coming to TNT this summer.

“They gave me a little time off, but in this business, you can shoot three or four shows at the same time,” Hagman told reporters on Saturday at the Television Critics Association Winter Session in Pasadena, Calif.

The actor, who revealed he was battling a treatable form of cancer in October of 2011, also gave an update on his progress.

“My treatments are going along very well,” he said.

The actor is fully engaged in the “Dallas” project, alongside fellow “Dallas” vets Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray, and Hagman said filming is heating up.

“I worked yesterday,” Hagman continued. “I did three major scenes yesterday – and very well too, I must say. And I had a lot of fun.

“They’re not writing me out,” he continued. “But I have some time to make up in the next couple of weeks, so I’ll be working every day, I think.”

In fact, Hagman revealed things have heated up with his on again/off again on-screen love interest Sue Ellen, played once again by Gray.

“Yesterday we did a scene and… she gave me my first slap,” he said.

“You’re not supposed to say that!” Gray chimed in.

“But it was great,” she added with a smile.

“Dallas,” also starring Jordana Brewster, Jesse Metcalfe, Josh Henderson, Brenda Strong and Julia Gonzalo, airs this coming summer on TNT.

Shannen Doherty Talks Kim Kardashian’s Split: ‘My Heart Goes Out To Her’

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Shannen Doherty in a promo shot for ‘Shannen Says’Caption Shannen Doherty’s marriage to photographer Kurt Iswarienko was chronicled for “Shannen Says,” premiering this spring on WEtv, but the former “90210” star says their relationship and marriage have nothing in common with Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries.

“He’s not abnormally tall, which is really good. He’s never going to question my friends about whether they’re gay or straight and never drop it,” Shannen laughed on Saturday at the Television Critics Association Winter Session when asked how her show –“Shannen Says” on WEtv — compares to Kim’s recent relationship.

Shannen, who married Kurt, a photographer in October, and had her big day documented for the upcoming series, insisted the couple’s relationship is pretty solid and nothing like her past two marriages (the first was to Ashley Hamilton from 1993-1994, the second one, to Rick Salomon, in 2002, was annulled a little over a year later).

“Kurt will say we’ve known each other all our lives and we have dated for three-and-a-half years, so it wasn’t a quickie marriage. I can’t judge what happened in somebody else’s marriage. God knows, my one or two other marriages… weren’t so great and they were quickie,” Shannen said.

“My heart goes out to her, I know that,” the actress continued, referring to Kim. “And I also applaud anybody who gets out of something if it’s not working, regardless of the terrible jokes and press that’s going to come in there.”

While not a fan of the reality TV format, Shannen said she does watch a few shows, including “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood,” starring her former “90210” co-star, Tori Spelling, and her husband, Dean McDermott.

“I personally love ’Tori & Dean,’ and I do not like the reality show forum at all. I, for the most part, roll my eyes and go, ‘Oh my God! That’s so set up…’ ‘Tori & Dean’ seems very real,” she said. “You’re getting to know them on a personal level and let’s be honest, their kids are like, beyond adorable.”

“Shannen Says” premieres Tuesday, April 3 at 9 PM EST/PST on WEtv.

Jennifer Lopez attends Scott Barnes’ ‘About Face’ book launch party at Provocateur at The Hotel Gansevoort on January 20, 2010 in New York City

FIRST PUBLISHED: January 6, 2012 11:40 AM EST

NEW YORK., N.Y. --

There’s no arguing, Jennifer Lopez is in fabulous shape. At 42, she’s got a rock-hard body that rivals a woman half her age.

Healthy Hollywood would love to make its New Year’s resolution to get her abs and legs. It’s an ambitious goal, but probably one that’s not going to happen – no matter how hard I diet or exercise.

So, I will settle for the next big thing: advice from Jennifer’s nutritionist, Haylie Pomroy of East West Essentials. She shared with Healthy Hollywood her top five simple (and very doable) tips to getting slim in 2012.

1. Say Farewell To Fat-Free Foods:
Avoid fat-free products, such as fat-free yogurt, cheese, and baked goods. These products contain artificial chemicals to make them taste better. These added ingredients can slow metabolism and are typically very high in carbs and sugar. Plus, they can wreak havoc on your skin and hair health.

2. No More Artificial Sweeteners:
Avoid all products with artificial sugars such as sugar free sodas, gums and candies. Be wary of products that state they are sugar free, but contain sorbitol, suclilose, aspartame, or splenda. These chemicals actually slow muscle building and reduce calorie burning and get in the way of a healthy lifestyle.

3. Be Sure To Hydrate:
Drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water each day. So, if you weigh 140 pounds, need to drink 70 ounces of spring water every day. Many teas are dehydrating, but raspberry tea can actually enhance your hydration and give your skin a healthy, plump look.

4. Have Breakfast:
It’s been hailed the most important meal of the day and it’s true! Need to eat a healthy breakfast within 45 minutes of waking up to fire up metabolism. Haylie suggests making a smoothie with uncooked rolled oats, raw nuts, and fruit.

5. Do A January Detox:
To get rid of any bad food hangovers from 2011, it’s a must to do a cleanse in January. Haylie created a line of products called Optimal Cleanse and Optimal Fat Flusher, both of which have long term weight loss results because they help to release toxins that can plateau many diets. Jennifer Lopez is a huge fan of the Optimal 5-day Cleanse.

Pretty simple tips, right? And remember, Jennifer Lopez is getting the same diet advice. For more tips and to find out about the Optimal Cleanse, check out www.eastwestessentials.com.
